  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;

  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Full description:

Aims of the course:

1. Familiarize students with basic definitions of dangerous goods and identification of dangerous goods according to the table of section 3.2.

2. Acquaint students with the legal regulations concerning the transportation of dangerous goods in road transport ADR

3. Acquaint students with the special properties of dangerous goods in various classes of ADR

4. Acquaint students with the types of rolling stock used for the transportation of dangerous goods on the ADR

5. Acquaint students with the principles of design and marking of packages for dangerous goods

6. Acquaint students with the methods of transportation of dangerous goods and the responsibilities of the functionaries taking part in the transport operation

7. Acquaint students with the markings, equipment and special documentation for vehicles designated for the transport of ADR

8. Familiarize students with the transport infrastructure used in ADR road transport and the marking and purpose of tunnels.

Learning outcomes:

1. understand and explain the basic definitions related to the transport of dangerous goods in ADR road transport.

2. knows and can apply relevant legal acts related to dangerous goods in road transport ADR.

3. understands and correctly classifies and identifies classes of dangerous goods and applies exclusions, limitations and exemptions in the transport of ADR by road.

4. recognises loading units used in the transport by road of ADR.

5. has knowledge about the selection and marking of packaging for the transport of dangerous goods by road in ADR.

6. recognises and knows how to apply methods of transporting dangerous goods and the duties of functionaries participating in a transport operation.

7. is able to recognize and apply proper organization and technological process, control and transport technology for transportation of dangerous goods by ADR.

8. is able to recognize and apply appropriate marking, equipment and specialized documentation for vehicles intended for the transport of ADR.

9. is able to use knowledge concerning the issues of application of ITC methods and systems in designing transport operations of dangerous goods in ADR transport.

10. is able to apply theoretical knowledge with the use of information technology in the design of transport processes of persons and goods with particular emphasis on the transport of dangerous goods.

11. correctly select appropriate loading technology in transport processes.

12. is able to recognize transport infrastructure used in ADR road transport and the marking and purpose of tunnels.
