Full description:

Course objectives:

1. To acquaint students with the basic elements related to integrated production systems, and more precisely the methods of CAD modeling, process design and management of a production company.

2. Realization of practical exercises on computers in CAD and CAM programs.

3. Developing students' skills in solving design problems and producing details.

KNOWLEDGE – A STUDENT KNOWS AND UNDERSTANDS:

1. Advanced CAD modeling methods: Solid modeling methods. Modeling methods surface. Hybrid models. Model parameterization, part series, element libraries normalized. Project data management. Adaptation of the CAD system to the user's needs.

2. Computer aided design of prefabricated elements. Introductory news. Terminology primary. Classes of design systems.

3. Computer aided technology: The essence of CNC control. Format of NC programs. Basic functions in programming machine tools. Machining cycles. The essence of the CAM system. Diversity CAM systems.

4. Part machining procedure using CAD / CAM systems. Machining design drilling in CAD / CAM systems. Designing the machining process in CAD / CAM systems - 2.5D.

5. Integrated production systems. Integration planes production systems. Phases of development of modern production systems. Components integrated production systems: CAD, CAE, CAM, CAP, CAQ, PPC. Integrated systems production management MRP II, JIT, OPT, BOA, Kanban, BOM

6. Prepare short project in scheduling production tasks on one machine.
