  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Full description:

Aims of the course:

1. Presenting students with issues related to the practical performance of measurements of measured quantities.

2. Introductioning students with the use of measuring devices, measurement methods, measurement techniques, organization of the workplace to perform measurements, calculation of measurement errors, use of bases, interchangeability of machine parts.

3. Improvement by students of skills in performing measurements using various methods, analysis of obtained results, determination of measurement errors.

4. Improving students' ability to work in a group and interpersonal communication.

KNOWLEDGE – A STUDENT KNOWS AND UNDERSTANDS:

1. and lists, defines and describes the application of technical metrology;

2. application of measuring tools, measurement methods, types of measurement errors, techniques for measuring machine parts, types of bases, interchangeability of parts.

SKILLS – A STUDENT IS ABLE TO:

3. and apply the occupational health and safety regulations applicable to the use of measuring tools, carrying out measurements, organization of the workplace, tool maintenance and depreservation;

4. select and use practical measuring tools, measurement methods for measuring external and internal dimensions, wedges and cones, mechanisms and other measured quantities;

5. is able to evaluate, justify, analyze the tools and methods used to measure measured values;

6. to draw conclusions from the performed measurement results;

7. search, collect, filter and process information from literature, the Internet, databases and other properly selected sources;

8. to interpret the obtained results and draw conclusions;

9. use analytical methods to obtain the measured value;

10. use standards skillfully.
