  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;

  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;

Full description:

After completing the course and confirming the achievement of the assumed educational results, the student has basic knowledge of the forensic theory and terminology of forensics oriented in particular to the aspects of investigating the scene of an incident, identifying and types of forensic traces, is able to perform basic activities on the scene as part of the procedure of "forensic examination of the place events ”, as well as use in practice the knowledge you have on the identification of traces and their types. In addition, the student is ready to undertake basic tasks as part of work in law enforcement agencies, understands the need to secure the scene of the incident and its forensic examination, as well as self-assessment of own competences and improvement of skills.

Selected program content:

• Activities included in the forensic examination of the scene of the event.

• Principles and methods of securing traces.

• Forensic examination of the place of the event: road accident, murder, suicide, theft with burglary.

• Principles of preparing documentation on the activities carried out: "forensic examination of the scene of the event".

• Division of traces according to criterion of the object, subject, form in which it occurs.
