Full description:

Aims of the course:

1. Improving language competence in reading and listening comprehension, speaking and writing. Practical application of grammar, consolidation and the introduction of the material.

2. Developing the use of lexical and grammar structures necessary for interpersonal communication.

3. Making students aware of the continuing need for students to improve language skills.

Form: Classes

1. Introduction – sich vorstellen, Zahlen.

2. Hobby – Mein Hobby, Meine Freizeit.

3. My usual day – Mein Tag, Uhrzeiten 2.

4. Food – Essen und Trinken, Restaurant, Cafe.

5. Review of all topics – Wiederholung aller Themen.

After finishing the course and confirming the attainment of learning outcomes a student:

1. Can apply grammatical structures and terminology required in semester I of studied specialisation.

2. Can communicate in situations related to his field of study as required in semester I.

3. Can translate a simple text in his/her field of study.

4. Is knowledgeable of how to self-educate and is aware of the need for continuous learning.
