Full description:

Aims of the course:

1. Students are familiarized with the issues of human body mechanics, its functionality as a biomachine.

2. Students are familiarized with biomechanic apparatus that can be used in the rehabilitation process.

3. Students gain knowledge from general biomechanics.

4. Students are familiarized with biomechanic analysis of body posture and biomechanic analysis of changes during body strain.

5. Students are familiarized with biomechanic analysis of motor movements.

Learning outcomes:

1. Biomechanics as a science, its purpose and goals and connection with other scientific areas.

2. Kinetic parameters and dynamic motor movements. Basic terms for biomechanics.

3. The moment of strength, lifting and its classification.

4. Static balance of a human body. Passive and active motor system.

5. Muscle as an actuator, strength and rate of reducing.

6. Measurements of muscle strength in statics and dynamics. Ground reaction force.

7. Kinematic chain, human as biomechanism.

8. Using electromyography for studying muscle work during movements.

9. Body movement steering .

10. Biomechanic analysis of texture and function of core joints and spine.

11. Ergonomics of workplace, home and equipment. Ergonomic basics of studying and planning of a work stand in particular occupation.

12. Prevention of locomotive organs strain.

13. Biomechanic analysis of walk.

14. Cultivating of poise in biomechanic aspect.
