Full description:

AIM OF TH COURSE:

1. provide structured knowledge about drive systems with power converters and about practical aspects of the application and operation of basic types of electric drive systems.

2. acquiring the ability to design a simple drive system using appropriate methods, techniques and tools

3. acquiring the ability to connect, commission and test the drive system and to obtain static and dynamic characteristics in measurement.

4. awareness of the need and possibilities of lifelong learning and competence improvement

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

KNOWLEDGE – A STUDENT KNOWS AND UNDERSTANDS:

1. the theoretical and practical aspects of the application and operation of basic types of electric drive systems and about automated, complex drive systems with power electronic converters.

SKILLS – A STUDENT IS ABLE TO:

1. design a simple drive system using appropriate methods, techniques and tools.

2. connect, run and test the designed drive system and carry out measurements of the static and dynamic characteristics of the drive systems.

SOCIAL SKILLS – A STUDENT IS READY TO:

1. lifelong learning and improving professional, personal and social competences.
