Full description:

Aims of the course:

1. The student knows and understands the phenomena in the field of static and dynamic impact fluid and structures.

2. The student has the ability to design hydraulic networks.

3. The student is able to calculate the parameters of the flow in open channels

4. Student understanding the principles of shaping the water environment of buildings.

Learning outcomes:

1. Macroscopic properties of fluids. Fluid hydrostatics.

2. Elements of fluid kinematics. Constitutive models in mechanics fluids.

3. Dynamic effect of a fluid on a solid. Movement of the liquid. Fundamentals of hydrodynamics.

4. Flow under pressure. Length and local losses. Pumps, characteristics, cooperation with the cable. Siphon and siphon.

5. Movement in open channels. Damages. Bridge light and culverts. Groundwater movement.

6. Channels and wells. Drainage of excavations. Filtering. Water balance.

7. Hydrometric measurements. River states and flow in rivers. The basics

8. Hydrostatics (overpressure, negative pressure, water pressure on elements buildings)

9. Calculations related to the design of pressurized pipes and cable networks - project

10. Calculation of flow parameters in open channels.

11. Calculation of the backflow range and determination of the damming curve.
